Custom Ranch-Style Automatic Driveway Gate Installation

Illinois Gate Solutions fabricated and installed a custom dual swing ranch-style aluminum gate system designed to match the existing white ranch rail fencing on the property. The project included full gate fabrication, post installation, LiftMaster swing gate automation, solar power, keypad access, vehicle exit detection, safety equipment, and final testing.

The completed gate system provides a clean, high-end entrance while maintaining the rural and residential appearance of the property.

Project Overview

This project included one complete set of custom dual swing aluminum driveway gates for a 17-foot clear opening. Each gate leaf was fabricated approximately 8.5 feet wide by 6 feet tall with a flat-top ranch-style design.

The gates were built to closely match the existing white vinyl ranch rail fence, creating a seamless look across the entrance and surrounding property.

Custom Gate Fabrication

The gate system was custom fabricated using aluminum framing, ranch-style horizontal rails, and cross bracing. The design was selected to provide the look of a traditional ranch rail entrance while keeping the gates lightweight enough for reliable swing gate automation.

The gates were finished in gloss white to match the existing fence and provide a clean, durable, long-lasting appearance.

Gate Automation System

Illinois Gate Solutions installed LiftMaster light-commercial swing gate operators to automate both gate leaves. The system was designed for dependable daily use while maintaining a clean appearance from both sides of the driveway.

The automation package included:

Solar Powered Gate System

Because of the site layout, the gate operators were powered by a solar and battery system. This allows the gate to operate without requiring a traditional hardwired power source at the entrance.

The solar setup was installed near the driveway entrance and positioned for proper sun exposure to help maintain battery charging for normal gate operation.

Access Control and Safety

The entrance was equipped with a powder-coated keypad pedestal and exterior keypad for controlled access into the property. A wireless in-ground vehicle exit sensor was installed to allow vehicles to exit automatically.

The gate system also included a reflective photo-eye safety device as part of the gate operator safety setup.

The completed system provides a secure, attractive, and fully automated driveway entrance while matching the existing white ranch rail fencing throughout the property.
